Controller - full-time, direct hire

Seattle, WA - on-site with some flexibility

 

A multifamily property management organization, that has assembled a best-in-class team that currently manages a growing portfolio of properties that manages affordable housing communities throughout the country, seeks a new Controller! The organization has built strong working relationships with government agencies and leading non-profit organizations to raise the standard of living for our communities!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.

 

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day company accounts
  • Assist with financial planning
  • Oversee Budget forecasting and cash flow management
  • Ensure government compliance in all tasks

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 10+ years of related experience;CPA preferred
  • Affordable housing experience, specifically LIHTC, HUD and property management
  • Expertise in managing financials at an owner entity coordinating multiple ownership structures, JV structures, or detailed organizational hierarchies
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel;expertise in OneSite and RealPage
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, intuitive interpersonal skills and problem-solving
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills –ability to multi-task, prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines and track deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • High energy team player that is a self-starter who can work proactively with limited supervision
  • Effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong ethics and integrity
