Job Description

Temp - Contracts Specialist I
Washington State –remote

The Contracts Specialist supports contract administration by ensuring all agreements are processed accurately and in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies. This role focuses on personal services contracts and prepares interagency agreements, leases, and letters of understanding for goods and services. Responsibilities include cost/price analysis, compliance review, and providing guidance on appropriate procurement and contracting methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process personal services contracts, interagency agreements, leases, and related documents
  • Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and internal policies
  • Conduct contract cost/price analysis and support contract compliance activities
  • Review contract property administration and documentation
  • Provide guidance on procurement and contracting methodology
  • Support stakeholders with training and process navigation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent public sector contracting experience
  • 1+ year negotiating, administering, or terminating contracts
  • Experience in public institutions in Washington state required
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to train and support diverse stakeholders in a high volume environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Jaggaer Software a big plus
