Job Description


Controller –Direct Hire, Full-Time Employee

Seattle, WA –hybrid schedule (on-site 1 day per week after 30 days)

Well established and respected, mission driven, employee-owned company, seeks a new Controller! The organization protects the environment every day by providing a diverse range of consulting services to cities, counties, state and federal agencies, Tribes, non-profits, and private clients throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, and western Canada.

 

Position is open due to recent promotion.

Oversees two groups: Corporate Accounting (payroll, A/P, etc.) and Project accounting

3 Direct Reports:
  • Assistant Controller (payroll, A/P, other corporate accounting duties to support the Controller)
  • Two Lead Project Accountants who both oversee two employees

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business with an emphasis in accounting
  • 10+ years of experience in progressively responsible accounting and financial roles, including roles responsible for core accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, auditing, and compliance
  • 10+ years progressive experience in private industry accounting
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience with strong leadership and team management skills and the ability to motivate and mentor employees

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in progressively responsible accounting and financial roles, including roles responsible for core accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, auditing, and compliance
  • Experience in an A/E consulting firm, or public sector entity is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Deltek Vantagepoint
