Maintenance Manager Location: Stanwood, WA Compensation: $130K–$155K annually + relocation allowance ($3K–$7K depending on location)
Position Summary
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will lead a team of skilled tradespeople, contractors, and service providers to ensure plant equipment and systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This role is critical to driving continuous improvement, preventative maintenance, and safety compliance across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Establish departmental goals, daily priorities, and operational activities to minimize downtime.
Oversee maintenance projects, installations, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure ERP data integrity and compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
Manage budgets, labor hours, and departmental resources.
Promote a strong safety culture through audits, training, and corrective actions.
Train, develop, and supervise maintenance personnel to ensure team success.
Collaborate with leadership on plant expansion projects and operational improvements.
Qualifications
8+ years of maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
5+ years in food manufacturing or related industries.
5+ years of progressive leadership in maintenance management.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
Valid WA State 01 Journeyman Electrical License (required).
ERP/CMMS proficiency and advanced MS Office skills.
Knowledge of Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP standards (preferred).
WA State refrigeration/HVAC certification, first aid, or forklift certification considered assets.
