Payroll & Benefits Administrator - contract with possible conversion to FTE

Seattle, WA - hybrid - on-site 2 days per week, work from home option 3 days per week

POSITION SUMMARY

The Payroll & Benefits Administrator is responsible for ensuring all salary and hourly employees (process weekly and supplemental payroll for 110+ employees, multi-state roster) receive their earned wages and administer benefits appropriately and on time. This role is responsible for all facets of payroll related calculations/ reconciliations and assists the HR Manager with administrative duties. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver who can operate with a high level of autonomy, expertise, and role ownership. The organization emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.

 

REQUIREMENTS

2+ years of payroll experience using Intuit QuickBooks

Familiarity with WA Prevailing Wage & Certified Payroll

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience creating nested formulas and pivot tables

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills

Self-motivated and accountable

Desire to provide a high level of service and support for employees

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a deadline driven environment

enthusiastic attitude toward growth and learning to accommodate a growth mindset

Exceptional organization and attention to detail

PREFERRED

Degree in related field or payroll certification

Job-Costing or Construction Industry experience

Experience with onboarding payroll/ HRIS solution software (Paycom, Paylocity)

Salesforce CRM experience
