Responsibilities:
Oversee and perform the operations of the Accounting Department, including but not limited to journal entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits, deferred revenue, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and depreciation.
Process the bi-weekly payroll and allocate hours
Monitor the grant reporting deadlines for all contracts and grants and meet the expenditure report deadlines.
Maintain accounting records by generally accepted accounting principles
Assist in preparing the annual organizational budget
Assist auditors with the financial audit and preparation of Form 990
Monitor grant funds are coming from the grant/contract agreements
Support fundraising events and regatta operations as requested
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Liaise with other departments to facilitate the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close process
Participate in ad hoc projects and analysis to support the management as assigned
Serve as a member of the management team and perform other duties as needed or assigned by the Executive Director
