Project Accountant - Long- term temporary

Seattle - hybrid schedule (on-site, T, W, Th - M, F remote)

Seeking a Project Accountant for long-term (12-18 months) role with well established company and team. Temporary is needed while the staff works on a special project.

 

Looking for a professional with the following skills and experience:
  • Accounting background with 3-7 years'experience
  • Balance sheet review / reconciliations
  • Month end closing tasks
  • Journal entry preparation
  • Revenue and cost of goods sold review (this is where the team spends most of their time)
  • Revenue recognition experience
  • Background in construction/service industries
  • Experience reviewing financials with leaders on the business operations side. (business partnership)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Monthly departmental WIP reviews & reconciliation

•Month-end Job Cost and WIP close processes

•Write-Up/Down Reporting

•Reviews and prepares monthly job cost transfers

•Produces cost substantiations per defined contract terms & schedule

•Reviews contract language for substantiation requirements

•Produces project gross margin analysis & supporting documentation

•Downloads and organizes substantiation documentation

•Project Audit
