Senior SOX Analyst - Full-Time Employee

Bothell, WA - hybrid schedule

 

General Summary and Purpose:

The Senior SOX Analyst will support the Sr. Internal Control & SOX Manager with planning and execution of the SOX program. To be successful, this candidate will need to be able to interact with all levels of management, co-source partners, and our external auditors to ensure audit testing timelines and other requirements are met.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Execute SOX compliance activities including understanding of business processes through conducting and leading walkthroughs, and perform testing of design and operational effectiveness of key SOX controls

•For new system implementations, participate in an advisory capacity on all end-to-end process design sessions to ensure proper control considerations are incorporated

•Build relationships with our business partners across the organization to ensure collective success, while still maintaining professional objectivity and independence

•Document accurate and detailed workpapers clearly and efficiently to communicate the test, the results of the tests, and conclusions

•Evaluate control deficiencies, including collaborating with control owners on root cause identification, mitigating controls, impact analysis, and remediation plans

•Be comfortable working through multiple projects through prioritization to stay within budgeted time and stipulated deadlines

•Provide clear and timely communication of status, issues, and roadblocks to the Sr. Manager to facilitate project planning

•Educate the company of the importance of having internal controls and the value proposition that the SOX department brings to the table

•Perform administrator tasks utilizing our SOX tool, Audit Board, including provisioning access, issuing document requests, and ensuring control information is current

 

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years SOX or auditing experience, preferable in public accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory costing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office –Advanced Excel user
  • Internal control, SOX 404(b) experience
