Job Description


This is a unique opportunity to own your own CPA firm with clients ready to go and back office admin work taken off your plate.



Preferred Experience / Qualifications
  • CPA
  • At least thirteen years of tax experience in public accounting
  • Significant experience with federal taxation for partnerships and other entities
  • At least 7 years in public accounting
  • Has the ability to leverage existing contacts and to develop new ones in order to grow the tax practice
  • A demonstrated history of client satisfaction and strong relationship building skills
  • Able to attract, train, develop and retain tax professionals
  • Fosters a collegial culture / atmosphere



Details

The primary focus is on federal taxation –primarily partnerships and some corporations and high net worth individuals. There is an existing book of business to walk into.



Essential duties include:
  • Lead and manage multiple federal income tax engagements including compliance and consulting services
  • Identify and deliver high-value tax planning strategies for clients
  • Manage and expand client relationships by providing timely and competent communication and value-added services
  • Participate in recruiting both entry level staff and experienced professionals
  • Develop and energize the tax staff and provide them with leadership, counseling and career guidance
  • Recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of the tax staff
  • Be a resource for the other partners in tax, audit and advisory
  • Actively participate in business development activities –seeking to address new issues for existing clients and also pursuing new clients
  • Represent the Firm at selected industry and community events
  • Provide thought leadership
  • Participate in the management of the office
