Staff Accountant –contract position –open ended
Everett, WA –on-site

Our non-profit client needs a Senior Staff Accountant immediately, as they have a large amount of work to complete and have several team members out of office. Help, please!

Reporting to the Director of Finance/Assistant Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting functions. The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with the VP of Finance/Controller, Director of Finance/Assistant Controller, Program Directors, and Managers to provide financial support to operations.

Qualifications
  • The Senior Staff Accountant position requires a BA in Accounting
  • Capital Campaign project management experience preferred but not required.
  • Candidate must have an understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Ability to read and understand contracts and compliance guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with all levels of management.
  • Nonprofit accounting experience preferred but not required .
  • Must be an advanced Microsoft Excel and be able to demonstrate that knowledge.
  • Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
  • Payroll processing experience
  • Experience working with governmental contracts preferred.
